I was wanting to have pakoras from a long time and so made some. And wondered what to do with the leftovers.. So thought of making this yummy recipe. Had it at friend's house once and tried it today and it was mmmm!!!!

All you need is :

For the pakoras :

Gram Flour - 1-2 cups
Rice Flour - about 1/4 cup
Jeera - 2 tsps
Onions - 1 chopped finely
Cilantro - chopped finely
Salt
Red chilli powder
Baking powder - abt 1/4 tsp
Oil - for deep frying

Procedure :

1. Mix all the ingredients along with some water. Try not to make it too thick or watery and see that there are no lumps.
2. Make them into small balls and deep fry them.
3. Eat some and set aside the rest ;)

For the gravy :

Curd - 1 cups
Besan/Gram flour - 1/4 cup
Dry red chillies - 5-6
Fenugreek seeds - abt 1/2 tsp
Hing
Red chilli powder
Turmeric powder
Salt
Water - 3 cups
Curry leaves
Cilantro

The Process :

1. Beat the curd and add in besan and mix well so that there are no lumps. Keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a kadai and add the fenugreek seeds, dry red chillies, curry leaves and hing.
3. Now add the curd mixture, water, turmeric powder, salt and red chilli powder and bring it to a boil while stirring.
4. Simmer for like 15 min. Keep stirring so that it doesn't stick to the bottom.
5. Add the pakodas and cook for another 5 min.
6. Add the cilantro and serve.

It tastes real good with white rice :)
Enjoy!!
