Fun with Meal Makers

Friday, August 19, 2011
Meal Makes.. Or Soya Chunks. These are my all time favourite. Rather easy to make and tasty to eat.. This is a very good source of protein. So boil some and  have fun. Here is my version..

You Will need :

Soy Chunks - About 2 Cups
Onion - 1 Finely Chopped
Tomato - 1 Finely Chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1tbsp
Cumin - 1tsp
Corriander Powder - 1tsp
Chilli Powder - To your taste
Salt
Turmeric Powder
Oil
Tomato Ketchup
Cilantro

You Need To :

1. Boil the meal makers in water with a pinch of salt. Drain all the water and squeeze the mealmakers.
2. Deep Fry these meal makers and keep aside on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
3. In a pan heat oil, add cumin, onion and fry well.
4. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for about 2 min.
5. Add the tomato, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder and corriander powder and fry well.
6. Add the deep fried meal makers and mix well.
7. Add some ketchup and cilantro and serve hot..

And you are done :)

P.S - You can do it the Indo-Chinese style too

Just add chopped garlic and chopped green chillies before you fry the onions. And then you can add soy sauce, vinegar, and chilli sauce instead of the chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and corriander powder.

Trust me it makes a real good snack :)

Enjoy :)
